Position: IT Support Specialist - Manufacturing
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Type: Full Time; Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wage: $20.00 - $21.50/ hour
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our manufacturing team, ensuring seamless operation of our technological infrastructure. As an IT Support Specialist in a manufacturing setting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining hardware, software, and networking systems that facilitate production processes. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, providing user support, and implementing system upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to manufacturing staff for hardware, software, and networking issues. Troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Hardware Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Conduct routine inspections, diagnose hardware problems, and coordinate with vendors for replacement parts or repairs as needed.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications used in manufacturing processes, such as inventory management systems, production scheduling software, and quality control programs.
- Network Administration: Monitor and maintain the manufacturing network infrastructure. Optimize network performance to support real-time production demands and data-intensive applications.
- System Upgrades: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for system upgrades or enhancements that can streamline manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
